Lady Frere (Jiputha) Electrification Project

Many rural and underprivileged communities across South Africa remain without electricity and the South African Government has made it one of its top priorities to electrify everyone. This task requires companies like Gridbow to deliver on the projects they will have been allocated. Jiputha is a
small village under the Emalahleni Municipality in Eastern Cape. Gridbow was allocated an electrification project to electrify 300 households in 12 weeks. The ground in Jiputha is rocky and the terrain is mountainous. Gridbow managed to complete this project during the allocated time and this project left a lasting impression on the community as we used local labour and we also provided electricity which changed people’s lives for the better.
